  • Agreement follows Delta order for 100 Boeing MAX aircraft, powered by LEAP-1B engines

Delta Air Lines will become a service provider for the next-generation LEAP-1B aircraft engine under an agreement with CFM International, helping position Delta TechOps as a leading global service provider for state-of-the-art, more sustainable engines.

The service agreement was made in conjunction with Delta’s order for 100 next-generation Boeing 737-10 aircraft, which will be powered by the LEAP-1B engine. Both announcements were unveiled today at the Farnborough International Airshow in the U.K.

“This agreement recognizes the expertise of Delta TechOps which is one of the very few global MRO providers at the forefront of next-generation, more sustainable engine technology,” said Mahendra Nair, S.V.P. - Fleet & TechOps Supply Chain. “It is thanks to the incredible skill, innovation and expertise of the people of TechOps that we are leading the industry servicing engines that will be flying passengers across the world for years to come.”
